Hi there, I’m Liz – a self-taught artist.

Though I have spent years practicing my technical fine art skills, I have more recently dedicated myself to being an artist. Pushing myself out of my comfort zone.

Outside of the art world, I love to dance, bake, and go for walks with my puppy! Nature is an important aspect of my work. The fluidity, the calming it brings, and the variety of change through each season bring me joy and inspire me creatively. Staying active in my daily routine keeps my energy flowing for when I’m in the studio and also prevents creative blocks! This is key for consistency.

I believe my enjoyment of keeping active is what drives the movement and loose style into my work.

You will either find me exploring outdoors, with a loved one or at home painting. There isn’t really an in-between.

Why I create

There were times when I didn’t have enough space in my life to create artwork, and that’s when it truly hit me—I couldn’t imagine living in a world where I wasn’t an artist. Simply taking photographs or experiencing moments wasn’t enough; I felt compelled to transform them into artworks of their own. That realisation made my path clear: it is my dream to turn this passion into my full-time career.

I’ve explored many different mediums, but acrylic/ oil painting and coloured pencil remain two of my favourites.

Pet portrait commissions are now available for 2026.

I can’t truly say if I am more of a ‘cat or dog’ person. They are both too cute for me to decide, sorry.

Animals will always be a favourite subject of mine to paint, so don’t worry if you would like a commission of other pets too! These make lovely gifts or beautiful celebrations of pets who have sadly passed.

My Process & Goals

I believe an artist’s process is just as important as the outcome. Creating sketches and mockups in pencil or Procreate are often my first steps.

It’s important to me not to become too focused on detail during the process stage, and rather big shapes, movement or a feeling. I like to save some of the creation for the painting itself so the natural flow and loose brushstrokes happen in the moment. Bright colours, joyful moments and visual energy are important to me within my paintings. My goal is for people to feel the same joy as I do in my work.
